As Head of IT at Urban Gym Group, you are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Urban Gym Group’s information technology systems and infrastructure.

As Head of IT at Urban Gym Group, you are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Urban Gym Group’s information technology systems and infrastructure.  

This roles leading purpose is leading a team of IT professionals, ensuring the efficient operation and optimization of hardware and software systems, managing IT projects, and implementing technology solutions to support UGG’s objectives. The Head of IT will also collaborate with clubs and HQ to understand their technology needs and provide strategic guidance to deliver IT business continuity and drive innovation. 

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: 

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 
  • Set clear SLA’s, goals and expectations for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations. 
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and professional development of IT staff. 

IT Infrastructure Management: 

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, databases, and telecommunications. 
  • Ensure the continuous availability, security, and integrity of all IT systems and data. 
  • Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements. 

 IT Project Management: 

  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and timeline. 
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements. 
  • Coordinate project activities, assign tasks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. 

Technology Solutions and Support: 

  • Collaborate with Business leads to understand their technology needs and align IT solutions with business objectives. 
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity. 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues at HQ or one of the clubs (40+). 

Security and Data Protection: 

  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and systems from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats. 
  • Regularly evaluate, review and advice on business continuity management. 
  • Stay updated on the latest IT security trends and best practices. 

 Budgeting and Vendor Management: 

  • Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. 
  • Evaluate and select vendors and manage relationships with external IT service providers. 

Compliance and Regulations: 

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards regarding data privacy, security, and IT operations. 
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to make strategic recommendations for the organization’s IT roadmap. 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Min. of 10 years’ experience in IT management and leadership, preferably in a scale up environment. 
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, IT security principles, data privacy regulations, and industry compliance standards. 
  • Excellent leadership skills. 
  • Positive and getting things done attitude. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing scale-up environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

We meet

After a brief meeting online we plan a face to face meeting at one of our clubs or at HQ. When applying for an audition as trainer or performer, you will be invited for the next planned audition.

Conditions

We expect to offer you a contract within 10 working days after your application. The proposal will inform you on all primary and secondary conditions (including unlimited training at all of our labels!).
