Application Manager

40 hours • Amsterdam 

Are you ready to take charge of the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge applications within our dynamic IT Infrastructure? If you are an expert in owning applications from a technical standpoint we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Application Manager.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of various applications within our IT Infrastructure, ensuring they are in line with business needs and objectives. 
• Take ownership of all applications from a technical perspective, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance. 
• Configure applications at the highest level, deeply understanding their functionalities, and seeking ways to optimize their performance to best serve the business requirements. 
• Act as a bridge between Operations (OPS) and IT-teams, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration for successful project execution. 
• Ensuring the systems are fully integrated, state of the art, future proof and last of all: running efficiently and effectively. 
• Oversee SLA management of all IT-related vendors, ensuring service delivery aligns with agreed-upon standards. 
• Manage IT contracts and cultivating strong relationships with vendors,  
• Exhibit strong documentation and training skills, ensuring that processes, procedures, and best practices are well-documented, easily understandable and accessible to relevant stakeholders. 
• Utilize project management skills to coordinate and execute IT vendor projects efficiently, adding value to the overall IT Infrastructure setup. 
• Execution is key. Execute tasks based on well-thought-out planning, following a structured approach to achieve objectives effectively. 

You: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. 
• Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of applications within IT Infrastructure environments. 
• Proficient in configuring applications and exploring ways to optimize their performance. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams, including OPS and IT. 
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and ensuring seamless operations. 
• Experience in SLA management and vendor relationship management from an IT perspective. 
• Excellent documentation and training skills to share knowledge efficiently. 
• Project management experience is a plus, enabling efficient execution of tasks and projects. 
• Highly organized and able to work according to a well-structured plan.
